I am learning “when perfectionism is driving, shame is always riding shotgun, and fear is usually playing backseat driver.”
I accomplished staying out of resentment and finding acceptance when the day unfolded differently than I was expecting.
I delighted in the reminder that I never know what the next moment will hold, in a one-on-one end of semester celebration with one of our quieter students, in greeting an uncomfortable situation with grace, and in a playful game of catch.
