be your own best friend


Today, I am grateful for taking steps to becoming my own best friend. 

I am learning how to be honest with myself about the difference between when I need rest and when I want to avoid doing the work. They both may look like relaxing in my chair binging on Netflix, but the intention is different and something I need to remain mindful of. 

I accomplished flexing my negotiating skills and submitting a counter offer instead of accepting what I felt was less than what I deserved. 

I delighted in getting my hair cut and styled, in a call from a friend, and in making chili.
