the journey is the destination


Today, I am grateful for my friends.  They are the family I have chosen.  They understand me.  They accept me.  They love me just as I am.  

I am learning how to recognize and redirect judgemental thoughts.  This is a process and takes practice.  It requires forgiveness which I am also learning. 

I accomplished pausing long enough to remember to breathe when I began to spiral.  Sometimes my mind wants to leap ahead, when she does, I say "thank you, but not now" and remember three things: 

            1. Just breathe

            2. What is meant to be will be  

            3. One step at a time is how I get where I'm going. 

I delighted in watching the sunrise.
